Missouri Home of Imperial/Teacup Shih Tzus
My name is Aaron Spade and my wife is Melissa Spade.
It all started for us back in 2018 when we got married and decided to bring a Shih Tzu into our family. We were over the road truck drivers back then and wanted a road companion for the truck and one of us was always available to be giving him attention so he was a pretty happy guy, but we felt like he needed a companion and along comes Sassy in March 2019.
As time went by we eventually came off the road because of health conditions my wife has going on. I stayed driving locally and home every night, I was thinking this was a great way to help my wife cope with being stuck at home everyday and bring up her spirits, and I have a bit of extra time on my hands
and I decided I was very interested in getting another Shih Tzu and start researching showing her and along came Miss Tandi weighing 8 pounds May 2022 fully registered and vet health checked with breeding rights and a few months later we added our daddy Mr Miller to the family he is 4.5 pounds and with the help and knowledge of an amazing breeder where we had gotten Byrd from and we decided to use her again because of his amazing personality and temperament, We were 100% correct in going with our gut on that choice because Tandi is an amazing little girl and eventually will be our first little mamma.
I had one male and one female many years ago and I bred her 5 times before spaying her and retired them both to a close family member when I went over the road. It was something I enjoyed very much and now that time and finances permit taking on this journey, We are very excited to start researching and building a small breeding stock that is intended to not only improve the breed, but also to provide excellent pets and registered emotional support dogs as well at some point in the next few years. Nothing fancy just basic commands and a willingness to sit with someone with anxiety and be able to be in public around distractions without anything distracting the dog from what its duties are while its working to support its human.
All of our Mother and Father dogs are raised either in our home and are exposed to our grandchildren and normal everyday noises.I raise them all as members of our family and we love them more than their are words to express. Our mothers will birth their babies in converted pack n play playpens with a hole formed in the side for entry and exit for momma, This was how I did my previous girl and it worked amazingly for her.
It also gives my wife something to snuggle on her bad days.
If youve never snuggled a Shih tzu youre missing out.
There will be imperial shih tzus ranging from 5 poundsbto 10 pounds and estimated weights will be listed per puppy
If you have any questions dont hesitate to email or call me and please email me if you want to be on my birthday email list to be notified when a litter is born.

AVAILABLE PUPPIES
Available puppies are available for anyone to purchase until a deposit marks the puppy sold in your name.Watch the site to make sure you’re ready when you spot the puppy that steals your heart. Any customers who have a prepaid deposit will get first view of the litter at birth and will have the opportunity at that point to reserve one of the puppies in that litter or pass and wait until the next litter, at that point the puppies will be listed as available on the website.
The best way to know what is available is join our birthday email list where I will notify everyone by e mail when a litter has been born. Then they will be listed on our website under adoptable puppies at 6 weeks and ready to go to their homes between 8 weeks and 12 weeks depending on the size of the puppy and how well the puppy is eating. The smaller sized puppies may need to stay until 10-12 weeks depending on size and how well their eating. because I dont want anyone getting a puppy that cant eat well as it can quickly lead to low blood sugars and become an emergency. Once a deposit is paid on a puppy it will be marked and your name will be added to its picture on the website as well. To join, please click on the contact us link and send us an email letting us know your name and that you would like to be on our birthday notification list. Puppies are not available until they’ve had all their wellness checkups and shots and wormer by our veterinarian.ALL puppies come with a spayed/neutered unless breeding rights have been purchased. Our vet will examine each puppy from head to toe BEFORE they are adopted and have cleared each and every puppy as healthy to be adopted, Please read our guarantee for our policies on pinched nostrils and hernias as well, Those will not be covered as they are very common with flat faced breeds other health conditions that are life threatening congenital defects and would result in the death of your puppy will be covered for 1 year from the date of birth, with a replacemt puppy of your choice and a return of the sick puppy is required so we can try to get it it into a specialized vet and it would be saved if at all possible then donated to a wounded warrior if at all possible and trained as an emotional support dog for them.

The reason the puppies go with a spay and neuter contract is to keep people from buying these puppies and backyard breeding them. I Invest $6000 for my parents and ot would be ahuge business loss to sell puppies that are from established bloodlines to turn around and have people breeding them without papers and selling them very cheap.Good breeders have invested a lot of money and time into these litters and we cant afford to let that hard work just disreguarded.
If you want breeding rights it will be extra and i would want to talk with you and facetime your home and what set up and supplies you have on hand and that you know how to handle emergencies that may arrise.
If not your puppies papers will be made available after you provide provide proof the puppy has been fixed
I hope everyone can understand this and that it is there for the protection of the dog and reputable breeders that have spent a lot of money building a great bloodline and a lot of effort to get where we are.We can not risk these babies going to a puppy mill
Puppies will be Dewormed, Fully vet checked and cleared, Weaned, Have started their puppy vaccination schedule and are 4 weeks into their litter training program.
Take a look at our litter training page and check out our pictures with tips and tricks to help you every step of the way and I am always here for after care support by email or

OUR LITTER AND BELL TRAINING PROGRAM:
We can’t take credit for developing this litter program, Because another Breeder introduced us to it and we absolutely love it! We use this method with all our dogs and all our puppies will come already started and 4 weeks into their training.
The best things about the litter pan system are these:
Your puppy won't wake you up during the night to go potty, he will use the litter pan.
You won't have to come home at noon to take your puppy outside, he will use the litter pan.
You don't have to think to push your puppy outside during inclimate weather, he will use the litter pan.
If you're late getting home, he will use the litter pan.
When you get your puppy he/she will be about 4 weeks into his litter trianing program. The messy part is behind you and he/she should be ready for the larger pen. You must be diligent until he/she has completed the program. You will be well rewarded for your diligence and faithfulness.
The size of the beginner training pen is a 2' x 4' pen, as your puppy earns his space, he'll go to a large pen, (I manipulate the pen size with zip ties), then whole room, and then to whole house.
In the picture, these puppies have earned their space and are now in the larger 4' x 4' pen. You can see the messes are in the pan, none outside of the pan. It's about time to move them to whole room.
We have puppy playtime for about 30 minutes at least twice a day during which time we love and socialize them. It's a time for owners to teach them their name, tricks, and to let them feel your love for them. A puppy that feels your love will want to please you.
"A good puppy is easy to love."
You can also train your puppy to go outside when you're home and use the pan when you're gone. All of our dogs are successfully trained to both.
You can easily train your puppy to bells too. Get jingle bells that are attached to a ribbon or rope. When you see your puppy needing to go, (nose to the floor and moving quickly around trying to find the scent to go on) shake the bells and give the command, "Let's go potty" or whatever command you choose, but be consistent with your choice. Be encouraging and they will follow you. Reward him/her when they do their duty. Eventually you can hang one set of bells on the door knob and he/she will ring the bells when they need to go out.
Never scold or reprimand your puppy if they have an accident. Scolding or reprimanding your puppy can cause them not to trust you. Simply return the puppy to the pen if he/she has accidents. Watch the puppy to catch him/her being good and reward that. Of course, if your puppy is sick, keep them in the pen until they're well. Promote good behaviors, reward, reward, and reward. Especially praise, but treats are also great rewards.
Materials that I use: Dura Tray Pan, Pelletized Pine bedding (which will absorb and neutrialize ordors), and litter screen to prevent fines from tracking.
One of my customers, Mary Bower, did everything correct; she gave her new puppy undivided and dedicated time. Her puppy is perfect! The time she gave up front will reward her for the life of her puppy. I asked Mary if I could share her story. She graciously agreed. Here it
When placed, your puppy will do best if most of his/her day, for the first week or so, is spent in the training pen. The transition is less traumatic and helps to familiarize the puppy with the new surroundings while maintaining their litter training in a familiar setting.
When you desire to take the puppy out of the pen, quietly go to the pen and make sure the puppy's awake, then move quietly away from the pen. Watch for the puppy to go potty. Give the command to "potty". When the puppy does so, praise and reward him/her by taking them out of the pen for playtime. If he/she doesn't have to go, take the puppy out and give your undivided attention while he/she is out of their pen.
He/she should only be out for 20-30 minutes at a time, whenever you can give the puppy undivided attention. This 20-30 minute time is your time to bond with your puppy.
If your puppy FEELS your love, he/she will desire to please you. Each time your puppy goes back to the pen and does his/her duty, reward them with love. Be consistant!u
